Regulatory Landscape Newsletter – April 2026

This is our Regulatory Landscape newsletter for April 2026 with our monthly insights on the evolving market for Regulatory professionals.   

For the month of March, there were 116 new Regulatory positions posted at smaller and mid-sized biopharma companies in the US. This is up 22% from February and up 35% from last March. This is the highest number of postings in March since we have been tracking them over the last six years. It’s also the highest number of postings in a single month since May 2022, and the second highest number of postings in any month since we began tracking in 2020.

63% of these new positions were in Clinical Regulatory Strategy and 18% were in CMC Regulatory, 8% in Regulatory Operations, and 11% were in Advertising, Promotions & Labeling. Roughly 52% of all new March Regulatory roles were at Director level and above.  There were 10 new Regulatory VP/SVP positions posted in March. 

47% of the new Regulatory positions in March were listed as Onsite, 30% were posted as Remote and 22% were Hybrid (remote and onsite).  25% of the March Regulatory positions were in California, 38% were in Massachusetts, and 24% were in the NJ/NY/PA area. 

There were layoffs announced at 16 biopharma companies in March.
