Happy New Year and I hope you all enjoyed the holidays! This is our Regulatory Landscape newsletter for January 2026 with our monthly insights on the evolving market for Regulatory professionals.
For the month of December there were 73 new Regulatory positions posted at smaller and mid-sized biopharma companies in the US. This is down 25% from November but up a whopping 74% from December 2024.
60% of these new positions were in Clinical Regulatory Strategy and 15% were in CMC Regulatory, 10% in Regulatory Operations, and 14% were in Advertising, Promotions & Labeling. Roughly 55% of all December Regulatory roles were at Director level and above. There were six new Regulatory VP/SVP positions posted in December.
42% of the new Regulatory positions in December were listed as Onsite, 32% were posted as Remote and 26% were Hybrid (remote and onsite). 19% of the December Regulatory positions were in California, 37% were in Massachusetts, and 27% were in the NJ/NY/PA area.
There were layoffs announced at five biopharma companies in December.
