Client background
This pre-IPO biopharmaceutical company is developing treatments for some of the most common illnesses in the world where current therapeutics are insufficient or nonexistent. They have a very strong pipeline with multiple clinical trials around the world.
Challenge
The CMO was seeking a Head of Regulatory Affairs, North America who could develop, lead and execute on all regulatory strategies for their pipeline programs in the US, while partnering with colleagues on global filings. They needed a Regulatory leader who could build out the US regulatory function while working directly with the FDA.
Approach
Dennis Partners proposed an Engaged Search to fill this crucial position. We kicked off the search in March 2021 and were able to identify about 200 candidates who fit the client’s specifications. We then recruited, screened, and presented seven strong candidates to our client. We had weekly meetings with the client to discuss the search and debrief on each candidate.
Result
The client interviewed all candidates by video, and then brought their top two choices into the office for onsite interviews and a formal presentation. They extended an offer to their top candidate in May and she accepted the Vice President role. We helped to fill this senior role in 62 days! Both our client and the new Head of Regulatory are extremely happy.
