This biopharmaceutical company is acquiring, developing, and commercializing innovative therapies for patients with rare diseases. They are based in the San Diego area and have 18 employees. They have one full time person in Regulatory and have been using consultants and CROs for additional regulatory support.
Challenge
Based on their current volume of work, the VP of Regulatory wanted to hire an Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs to manage day-to-day Global Regulatory activities for their development and commercial pharmaceutical programs. She needed someone who could serve as her “right arm” and would mesh well with their tight-knit culture. They preferred local candidates in the San Diego area who could come into the office three days a week.
Approach
Dennis Partners conducted a Contingent Search to find candidates for our client. We recruited and vetted Regulatory professionals in the San Diego are who fit our client’s qualifications. We focused on Regulatory Managers, Senior Managers and Associate Directors with both post-approval and development backgrounds, along with some rare disease experience. Within a few days of starting the search, we submitted three candidates who met the client’s criteria.
Result
Our client moved very quickly with the interview process. Within two days of receiving the resumes, they conducted the first round of interviews by video and then scheduled their top candidate to come onsite the following week. Just one day after the candidate’s onsite interviews, our client was ready to make an offer.
