This is our Regulatory Landscape newsletter for April 2022 with our monthly insights on the evolving market for regulatory professionals.
For the month of March we saw over 110 new Regulatory job postings at mid-sized and smaller biopharma companies. The majority of these are at Director level or higher, including 11 new Vice President-level Regulatory positions. In March 36% of new Regulatory positions were listed as Remote or Hybrid.
Although the new job postings for March are still strong, we are starting to see a shift in the market. For Q1 of 2022 there were about 300 new Regulatory job postings, which is down 31% from the first quarter of 2021. Also, during the month of March there were layoffs announced at 17 different biopharma companies. This is a surprisingly large number since we barely saw any layoffs at all during 2021.
