This is our Regulatory Landscape newsletter for August 2022 with our monthly insights on the evolving market for regulatory professionals.
For the month of July, there were only 70 new Regulatory jobs posted across the country at small and midsized bio/pharma companies. This is down 30% from prior months, but we always see a big dip in new openings in the summer.
As usual, the majority of these new roles were Clinical Regulatory/Generalist positions (60%), with about 20% in CMC Regulatory. Ten percent of the positions were in Regulatory Operations and 10% were in Regulatory Advertising, Promotions and/or Labeling.
The majority of positions were Director level or higher, and there were eight new Regulatory VP positions in July. A whopping 46% of roles were either remote or hybrid, the highest percentage we have seen since we’ve been tracking this data.
There were layoffs at eight biotech companies in the month of July.
We recently filled a Head of Regulatory Affairs position for one of our Boston-area biotech clients. Since inception, Dennis Partners has placed over 260 Regulatory professionals, including 27 VPs/Heads of Regulatory at smaller biotech or pharmaceutical companies.
