Regulatory hiring seems to be rebounding after two very quiet months. For the month of July there were 77 new Regulatory positions posted at smaller and mid-sized biopharma companies in the US. This is up 67% from June and pretty much flat from July 2024.
53% of these new positions were in Clinical Regulatory Strategy and 17% were in CMC Regulatory, 18% were in Advertising, Promotions & Labeling, and 10% in Regulatory Operations. Roughly 46% of these roles were at Director level and above. There were seven new Regulatory VP/SVP positions posted in July.
40% of the new Regulatory positions in July were listed as Onsite, 23% were posted as Remote and 36% were Hybrid (remote/onsite). Only 15% of the July Regulatory positions were in California, 35% were in Massachusetts, and 25% were in the NJ/NY/PA area.
There were layoffs announced at 20 biopharma companies in July.
