The year has started out strong for Regulatory hiring. For the month of January there were over 100 new Regulatory job postings, which is double what we saw in December and up about 11% from January 2022. As usual, most of these roles (63%) were in Clinical Regulatory Strategy and more than 75% of those positions were are Director level or higher.
There were 12 new VP/SVP level Regulatory positions in January, with over 40 VP/SVP Regulatory roles currently open across the country.
50% of all new Regulatory roles posted in January were remote or hybrid, the highest percentage since we started tracking.
There were layoffs announced at 15 biotech and pharma companies in January.
