Regulatory Landscape Newsletter – June 2024

This is our Regulatory Landscape newsletter for June 2024 with our monthly insights on the evolving market for Regulatory professionals.   

For the month of May, there were approximately 91 new Regulatory positions posted at smaller biotech and pharma companies in the US. This is down about 4% from April and down 6% from May 2023. 

60% of these new positions in May were in Clinical Regulatory Strategy and 20% were in CMC Regulatory, 9% were in Advertising, Promotions & Labeling, and 11% in Regulatory Operations.  53% of these roles were at Director level and above. There were six new Regulatory VP/SVP positions posted in May.  

26% of all new Regulatory roles in May were posted as Remote and 22% were Hybrid (remote/onsite).  25% of the May Regulatory positions were in California, 30% were in Massachusetts, and 23% were in the NJ/NY/PA area. 

There were layoffs announced at 20 biotech and pharma companies in May.
