Regulatory Landscape Newsletter – October 2024

This is our Regulatory Landscape newsletter for October 2024 with our monthly insights on the evolving market for Regulatory professionals.   

For the month of September there were approximately 87 new Regulatory positions posted at smaller biopharma companies in the US. This is down 5% from August but up 30% from September 2023. 

56% of these new positions in September were in Clinical Regulatory Strategy and 27% were in CMC Regulatory, 10% were in Advertising, Promotions & Labeling, and 8% in Regulatory Operations.  Roughly 46% of these roles were at Director level and above. There were six new Regulatory VP/SVP positions posted in September.  

28% of all new Regulatory roles in September were posted as Remote and 20% were Hybrid (remote/onsite).  33% of the September Regulatory positions were in California, 34% were in Massachusetts, and 17% were in the NJ/NY/PA area. 

There were layoffs announced at 11 biotech and pharma companies in September.
