This Bay Area clinical-stage biotechnology company is enabling cures by targeting mast cells and stem cells. They are publicly traded and well-funded, and have multiple programs in clinical trials.
Challenge
The company was seeking a VP or SVP of Regulatory & Quality to lead and build out their Regulatory and Quality functions. This was to replace the previous executive who recently left the organization. They needed a true Regulatory strategist with a strong biologics background, who also had extensive ex-US/global Regulatory experience.
Approach
Dennis Partners conducted an Engaged Search to find the best possible candidates for our client. We kicked off the search in May with the COO and VP of Human Resources to understand their requirements and preferences. We then focused our search on senior Regulatory leaders in the Bay Area with strong biologics backgrounds and a deep understanding of clinical regulatory strategy. Within a matter of weeks, we identified, screened, and submitted multiple candidates who met the qualifications for the role.
Result
The client conducted video interviews with each candidate and then brought their top candidates onsite for in-person meetings with the executive team. They quickly made their decision for their top candidate. Dennis Partners helped to check references and negotiate the offer. The candidate accepted the offer exactly 60 days from the start of this search! This is especially notable given that the long holiday weekends for Memorial Day, Juneteenth, and July 4th were during this period.
