This is our Regulatory Landscape newsletter for April 2024 with our monthly insights on the evolving market for Regulatory professionals.
For the month of March there were approximately 94 new Regulatory positions posted at smaller biotech and pharma companies in the US. This is up about 11% from February but down about 8% from March 2023.
57% of these new positions in March were in Clinical Regulatory Strategy and 18% were in CMC Regulatory, 15% were in Advertising, Promotions & Labeling, and 7% in Regulatory Operations. More than 60% of these roles were at Director level and above. There were only four new Regulatory VP/SVP positions posted in March.
23% of all new Regulatory roles in March were posted as Remote and 30% were Hybrid (remote/onsite). 27% of the March Regulatory positions were in California and 35% were in Massachusetts. 18% were in the NJ/NY/PA area.
There were layoffs announced at 18 biotech and pharma companies in March.
