This is our Regulatory Landscape newsletter for January 2023 with our monthly insights on the evolving market for regulatory professionals.
For the month of December, there were only about 50 new Regulatory jobs posted across the country at small and midsized bio/pharma companies. This is down significantly from November and also from December 2021 numbers. The majority of these new positions (63%) were in Clinical Regulatory Strategy with 20% in CMC Regulatory and 10% in Regulatory Advertising, Promotions and Labeling.
47% of all new Regulatory roles posted in December were remote or hybrid. There were only six new VP level Regulatory roles posted last month, but there are still about 45 open RA VP and SVP positions across the country as of today.
There were layoffs announced at eight biotech and pharma companies in December. This means there were layoffs at approximately 120 companies for the 2022 year.
