This is our Regulatory Landscape newsletter for July 2023 with our monthly insights on the evolving market for regulatory professionals.
For the month of June there were only about 90 new Regulatory positions posted at smaller biotech and pharma companies in the US. This is down 10% from last month and down about 18% from June 2022. This is also the lowest number of June job postings we have seen in the past four Junes.
About 64% of these positions were in Clinical Regulatory Strategy and 17% were in CMC Regulatory, 11% were in Advertising, Promotions & Labeling, and 8% in Regulatory Operations. The majority of these roles were at Director level and above. There were only three new Regulatory VP/SVP positions posted in June.
About 23% of all new Regulatory roles in June were posted as Remote and about 20% were Hybrid (remote/onsite). There were layoffs announced at 14 biotech and pharma companies in June.
