This is our Regulatory Landscape newsletter for November 2023 with our monthly insights on the evolving market for Regulatory professionals.
For the month of October there were approximately 55 new Regulatory positions posted at smaller biotech and pharma companies in the US. This is down 18% from last month and it’s the lowest number of new job postings we have seen since we started tracking Regulatory postings in 2020.
About 67% of these new positions in October were in Clinical Regulatory Strategy and 25% were in CMC Regulatory, 4% were in Advertising, Promotions & Labeling, and 4% in Regulatory Operations. The majority of these roles were at Director level and above. There were five new Regulatory VP/SVP positions posted in October.
18% of all new Regulatory roles in October were posted as Remote and about 13% were Hybrid (remote/onsite). 31% of the October positions were in California with only 9% in Massachusetts.
There were layoffs announced at 15 biotech and pharma companies in October.
